The community ran out of water in the dry season (February through May), forcing each family to carefully ration their supplies.

EWB worked with the community from 2005 to 2011 and helped build a 100,000 gallon water tank, a daily water supply system, composting latrines, and a rain-harvested hand washing station for the school. When returning in October 2011, Engineers Without Borders found that all systems were operating as designed.
